i’ve been seeing so many encouraging posts and i have been inspired to do one myself. this is long so please bear with me, it’s worth the read || luke 14:11 “but if you’re content to be simply yourself, you will become more than yourself.”for all who tend to struggle with self worth, rejection, social anxiety, etc.. God has called you to be “simply yourself” as the message puts it. there is no one that can be exactly who YOU are, and who are you?
“fearfully and wonderfully made” psalm 139
“made in His image”genesis 9
“called according to His purpose” romans 8
you are divinely chosen by a God who counts the stars and names each one. He knows every situation, every fear, every anxiety attack, every heart break, every tear that falls (and that’s scripture)!!! psalm 56:8
“you keep track of all my sorrows. you have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book.”
if He sees every tear and collects them in a jar, what would stop Him from wrapping his arms around you? what would stop Him from giving you a peace that surpasses all fear? what would stop the God of all creation from revealing his all-consuming, reckless love to you? He is in LOVE with you, and he is enthralled by your beauty (psalm 45:11)
He made you. Perfect. In HIS image.
please listen!!! YOU are loved for YOU. your beauty and self-worth are made whole through Him because He is your maker.
think on this: an artist has just finished creating a two-year project that has become one of his favorite paintings he has ever drawn. someone looks at this painting and says, “this looks amateur. this should not be considered painting.” does the worth of this painting decrease in the artist’s eyes? not one bit because the man who insulted his masterpiece did not sit hours and hours creating the artwork.
the exact same is how God sees us. He created us in his image. all of our organs, bones, muscles, body features, etc.. we’re all thought by Him. we are HIS masterpiece. and we have WORTH through Him.
lastly (yes im done),
“God’s chosen is Beloved.” psalm 18:50
never forget who YOU are.
